Skyjacker Softride leaf springs are engineered to provide a significant upgrade in ride quality and suspension flex without compromising durability. Manufactured using high-grade American steel, each individual leaf undergoes a high-velocity shot-peening process. This treatment compresses the steel's surface to increase tensile strength, allowing for maximum wheel travel and a longer service life compared to non-peened springs.
Unlike standard designs that use restrictive C-style bend clips which cause binding and friction, Skyjacker utilizes bolt-style spring clips to maintain alignment while allowing the leaves to move freely. The leaves are tapered over their entire length to distribute loads evenly and prevent leaf digging, ensuring smooth suspension articulation and a consistent progressive rate.
