These Supertech Performance exhaust valves are specifically engineered for high-output turbocharged Subaru builds where exhaust gas temperatures (EGTs) reach critical levels. Manufactured from Inconel, a high-strength nickel-based superalloy, these valves maintain structural integrity under extreme thermal stress that would compromise standard stainless steel components.
The defining feature of the SEVI-1010-HS-8 series is the sodium-filled hollow stem. As the valve operates, the liquid sodium transfers heat away from the valve face and through the stem to the valve guide and cylinder head cooling jackets. This improved thermal management reduces the risk of pre-ignition and allows for more aggressive tuning in high-boost EJ20 and EJ25 applications.
