This proximity exposes the filter housing to extreme radiant heat, which can raise oil temperatures and degrade lubrication efficiency. The Torque Solution Thermal Oil Filter Blanket (TS-SU-529) provides a critical thermal barrier, insulating the filter to help maintain more consistent oil temperatures and protect the oil's viscosity during hard driving or track use.
