The Turbosmart Kompact EM (Electro-Mechanical) VR2 series combines the reliability of a mechanical valve with the seamless integration of electronic control. Unlike standard pneumatic valves that require external vacuum lines and solenoids, the EM VR2 plugs directly into the factory harness. This ensures the engine management system maintains full control over the boost bypass circuit, preventing Check Engine Lights (CEL) and ensuring the valve reacts exactly as the ECU expects.

Constructed from billet aluminum with high-temperature o-rings, the Dual Port design provides a hybrid venting solution: it recirculates enough air to satisfy the MAF sensor while venting the rest to the atmosphere for the classic blow-off sound. This eliminates the common pressure leaks found in factory plastic valves, resulting in sharper throttle response and more consistent boost pressures.
