UMI Performance 2207-R Torque Arm Relocation Kit for 1998-2002 Chevrolet Camaro & Pontiac Firebird (Manual)

Fits 1998-2002 Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird models (Base, Z28, SS, Formula, and Trans Am) equipped with manual transmissions.

The UMI Performance 2207-R torque arm relocation kit is engineered to move the front mounting point of the torque arm from the transmission tail shaft to a dedicated crossmember. While the factory design is sufficient for daily driving, it is prone to failure under hard launches and high-performance use, often resulting in a cracked transmission housing. This kit replaces your factory transmission crossmember with a heavy-duty unit featuring an integrated torque arm mount.

Constructed for maximum rigidity, the assembly is fabricated from rectangular mild steel tubing and 0.188-inch mild steel mounting plates. The torque arm mount itself is CNC-machined from 0.250-inch thick mild steel and includes a new clam shell for a secure fit. This setup is compatible with factory torque arms as well as most stock-style aftermarket units.
