The Vibrant Performance -8 AN Black Nylon Braided Flex Hose (11978) provides a lightweight and durable solution for automotive plumbing. Built for high-performance fluid transfer, this hose features a reinforced CPE synthetic rubber inner liner protected by a high-strength black nylon braided cover that offers superior abrasion resistance compared to unbraided alternatives.
This hose is engineered to handle oil, water, fuel, coolant, and vacuum service across a wide temperature range. While compatible with E85 and methanol, the CPE liner is susceptible to fuel vapor permeation if fuel is left stagnant for long periods; for dedicated long-term ethanol applications, a PTFE-lined hose is recommended. Note: This hose is not rated for brake lines, high-pressure hydraulic systems, or in-tank submersion.
