The Wilwood Aero6-DM Front Brake Kit (MPN 140-16803-D) is engineered for high-performance braking on full-size GM trucks. Designed as a direct-mount upgrade, this kit replaces factory components with rigid 6-piston calipers and high-performance rotors to handle the increased thermal loads of heavy towing, larger wheel/tire combinations, or spirited driving. The Aero6-DM system provides a firm pedal feel and consistent clamping force that OE single-piston setups cannot match.
The Drilled & Slotted (D&S) rotors included in this kit are specifically engineered for thermal stability and pad cleaning. The cross-drilling allows for improved cooling, while the slots vent gas and dust, ensuring a clean contact patch between the rotor and the brake pads.
