The Wilwood D8-4 Front Caliper Kit provides a modern, high-performance solution for the braking issues common to classic Corvette platforms. These 4-piston calipers are engineered as direct bolt-on replacements for the original equipment, mounting in the factory location over stock rotors. By utilizing forged billet aluminum bodies and stainless steel pistons, this kit eliminates the rust, bore pitting, and seal failures that frequently plague the original iron caliper design.
Each kit is finished in a durable Type III hard anodized coating for superior wear resistance. The D8-4 design offers significant weight savings over OE components while maintaining compatibility with original style D8 brake pads. While these calipers fit inside most 1967 and newer production wheels, certain wheels such as the 1965-66 "JK" code steel wheels may require a 3/16-inch wheel spacer for proper clearance.
