Fits 1970-1982 Chevrolet Corvette (including Stingray, Collector's Edition, and Pace Car models).
The Wilwood D8-4 rear caliper kit is a direct bolt-on replacement for the factory OE calipers, engineered to eliminate the common maintenance issues of the original equipment. These calipers feature Type III hard anodized forged billet aluminum bodies and stainless steel pistons with high-temperature seals. This design specifically prevents the rust, bore pitting, and seal failures that typically plague the stock cast iron components.
These D8-4 4-piston calipers mount directly in the factory location over stock rotors and utilize original-style D8 brake pads. While they fit most 1967 and newer production wheels, some wheels—such as the 1965-66 "JK" code steel wheels and select aftermarket replicas—may require a 3/16-inch or wider wheel spacer for proper clearance. This kit provides a significant reduction in unsprung weight and increased thermal reliability for consistent braking performance.
